Matt Johnson, M-CFI-I Helicopter
Matt formed Eagle Eye Solutions, LLC in 2004 after partnering up with the well-known test pilot and author Shawn Coyle. The two, both from different backgrounds, had an extreme passion for improving the helicopter flight training industry with the goal of improving SAFETY in the helicopter industry. The pair felt that much more could be offered to aspiring helicopter pilots and flight instructors on an academic level that would in return lead to better pilots, flight instructors and better overall safety practices.
As a senior level law enforcement executive with a background in training, investigations and forensics Johnson had an extreme passion for training in all aspects of professional development. Having developed and coordinated training programs for years, Matt retired from law enforcement in 2008 and turned his efforts and time to his most sincere passion, helicopter education and safety. He set out with the goal of providing the most in-depth “down-to-earth” helicopter training and safety programs available anywhere. He pledged to have the most qualified and unique instructors on his staff. As a result of his accomplishments Eagle Eye Solutions, LLC has been selected for the past five consecutive years to present advanced helicopter academic programs for the Helicopter Association International at the annual Heli-Expo conference.
As owner of Eagle Eye Solutions, LLC Matt manages the day-to-day operations of the company. In addition, Matt is a full time Air Medical Pilot, Helicopter Flight Instructor and Instrument Helicopter Flight Instructor.
